Some creative fan made a Viva Pinata cake out of swiss rolls and icing. Hudson looks good enough to eat. ^_~

Believe it or not... [05 Oct 2007|06:36pm]

This community isn't dead. Lucidscreamer and I have had a few discussions about it, and are planning some interesting (we hope) Pinata-centric posts, soon. (Slight teaser -- one is a cross-over fanfic I've written for Viva Pinata and Yu-Gi-Oh!)

However, there's a concern you can help us with now, if you would be so kind. Eric Stuart, the voice director, as well as the voice for Les Galagoogoo, Pecky Pudgeon, Pierce, Mad Mongo, Dr. Pester's Ruffians, Francine Fudgehog (Yes! He did the voice for Fergy's mother!) and most likely other characters from Viva Pinata, is also a very skilled singer, songwriter and musician. His band, Eric Stuart Band, is poised for great things, and you can help.

First, if you've never heard Eric's singing voice before, you can sample four of his songs here:

http://www.myspace.com/ericstuart

Then, if you like them, please, please, please go here:

http://shop.cmt.com/In-the-Country-of-Kings-Contemporary-Country_stcVVproductId22134623VVcatId423351VVviewprod.htm

and leave a review of his music. It doesn't have to be long. Hopefully, it's positive. ^_^ If you like the sample songs on Eric's MySpace, please consider buying the CD. It's really a bargain for the number of songs, and the amazing quality of the music. Even if you don't like 'country music' *raises hand* (I don't -- at all) listen to the songs. Eric's 'concrete country' is like nothing you've heard before.

If you really like his music, you can buy two of his older CDs directly from his site: http://www.ericstuart.com

Okay, that's the plea. Please listen to the songs, and consider helping Eric out by posting a positive review on the CMT shop site.

Thank you so much!

Finally! A new entry! [14 Jul 2007|09:47pm]

This entry is sort of Viva Pinata related and sort of not -- Dave Wills, the voice actor for Fergy Fudgehog -- is also a DJ. 'Ghosty's' (his on-air handle) radio show, That Modern Rock Show, starts at 9 PM (EST) Saturday nights and streams on the web so everyone can enjoy it.

Here's the link: http://www.wfdu.fm

Take a listen; it's amazing. He sounds nothing at all like Fergy in real life; oh, and he plays great music, too! ^O^

(Edit -- I'm an idiot. His show is on Saturday nights, not Friday. *bonks self in head*)

Welcome -- to Piñata Island! [03 Feb 2007|10:20pm]

Viva Piñata, the Saturday morning cartoon on the 4Kids network, is a great show for kids. It's full of bright colors, memorable characters, beautifully smooth computer-rendered animation and amazing voice acting. It's also full of clever writing, groaningly bad good puns and cultural references that simply have to aimed at adults.

Anyone who's a fan of the voice acting in Yu-Gi-Oh! would be pleasantly surprised to catch an episode or two of Viva Piñata, as Eric Stuart (who's also responsible for the voice casting and direction) and Dan Green have roles in the show.

So, here's an LJ community for all of us adults who are brave enough to admit we like Viva Piñata.

My name is Kitt, and I'm a Pinidiot. Thus far, my favorite character is Les and my favorite episode is, predictably, 'Les Saves the Day' (though 'Sick Day' is also a favorite).

Please take just a moment to read the community rules, here.
